OCU men overpower Mid-America Christian 6-2

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City University men's soccer team defeated Mid-America Christian 6-2 on Tuesday night at Stars Field.

John Dill, a sophomore from Broken Arrow, Okla., led the Stars' offense with two goals and two assists in the match. 

Stuart Hilton, a sophomore from Liverpool, England scored the second goal for the Stars and was assisted by Dill. Damon Ellis, a freshman from Chester-Le-Street, England, scored the third goal for the Stars and was assisted by Luke Garvey, a junior from Liverpool, England. 

Garvey also assisted Dill with his second goal in the 67th minute. Scott Jackson, a senior from Edmond, Okla., scored the fifth goal in 68th minute and was assisted by Hilton. The last goal was scored by Chris Spendlove, a sophomore from Liverpool, England, off of a corner kick from Dill.

OCU, ranked seventh in the NAIA, improved to a record of 9-1, 1-0 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. The Stars will face St. Gregory's on Saturday at 8 p.m. at Stars Field.
